The department of Pediatrics is the administering sub-department and carries out teaching activities in the specialty 31.05.02 Pediatrics. The main educational, scientific and clinical base of the department of Pediatrics is Kirov Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. Students of the 4th, 5th and 6th courses of the pediatric faculty and clinical residents study at the department. Lectures and practical classes with 4th-year students are conducted according to the cycle "Faculty Pediatrics, Endocrinology", with 5th-year students – according to the cycle "Faculty Pediatrics, Endocrinology", "Polyclinic and Emergency Pediatrics", with 6th-year students – according to the cycle "Hospital Pediatrics", "Polyclinic and Emergency Pediatrics", "Simulation course". In addition, the department conducts classes on the student's choice "Topical Issues of Nephrology", "Allergodermatoses in children". The management of the production practice is carried out for students of the 5th year of the pediatric faculty "Assistant to the doctor of the children's polyclinic".
     At the same time, the department of Pediatrics implements continuous medical education in the specialty "Pediatrics", additional professional education in the specialties "Pediatrics" and "Neonatology", as well as training of highly qualified personnel in residency in the specialty "Pediatrics" and "Neonatology".
