Students of Kirov SMU are winners of Tsiolkovsky readings

       From 24th to 26th of October, the XVIII youth "Tsiolkovsky Readings" were held in Kirov. This year's event brought together more than 200 schoolchildren and students from 25 regions of Russia and 9 foreign countries such as Belarus, Egypt, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Syria, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

 

 

      The participants of the educational readings had a rich cultural and educational program: public lectures by cosmonauts, discussions, workshops, project defense, watching a film about Soviet and Russian scientist K.E.Tsiolkovsky and meeting with his great-grandchildren.

      Students of Kirov State Medical University became part of a large-scale event designed to increase the interest of young people in the field of cosmonautics and aviation. The students successfully presented their research papers in two sections like "Space: Medicine and Ecology" and "History of Aviation and Cosmonautics" and received their well-deserved awards. 2nd-year student Thakare Deven Vishnu was awarded with 1st-degree diploma for his report on achievements of India in the study of space, 4th-year student Hamid Ahmed Salah Ismail got a 2nd-degree diploma for the report about the first and only Syrian cosmonaut of the Soviet Union.  Anil Kumar Kizhakkeparampil Anisha and Mathath Amaya with their report on effects of yoga exercises on cosmonauts` adaptation to Earth gravity after long flights and Mohamed Ahmed Galal Abdelsattar Abumosalam and Mohamed Mahmoud Galal Abdelsattar Abumosalam with their report on the possibility of using the antibacterial properties of aromatic oils to purify indoor air were awarded with special prises. 

 

 

      Dean of the faculty of foreign students Irina Suetina, head of the department of vicrobiology and virology Ekaterina Kolevatykh, teaching assistant of the department of vicrobiology and virology Aleksey Yurlov, associate professor of the department of microbiology and virology Svetlana Akkuzina and professor of the department of anatomy Svetlana Andreeva were the scientific advisors of our students.
