Students of Kirov State Medical University Ilya Knyazhev, Nikolai Shchur and Anastasia Maslova went back from Minsk. During the last week, they took part in a scientific and educational school organised by Belarusian State Medical University.

      Together with our students, students from St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Kaliningrad and Ryazan came to Belarus to obtain new knowledge. Future doctors could choose one of eight fields: "Surgery and Transplantology", "Modern Cardiology", "Traumatology and Orthopedics", "Oncology", "Allergology", "Anesthesiology and intensive Care", "Modern endocrinology", "Arrhythmology".

      Our students chose "Modern Cardiology" field. The students were able to hone their practical skills on simulators at the simulation and certification center of higher Education of BSMU and at the republican simulation center; visit intensive care units, interventional and hybrid operating rooms, as well as communicate with patients.

 

 

      Participants of the summer school managed not only to study! An exciting excursion program was developed especially for guests from Russia at BSMU, which included tours in Minsk and its sights – the memorial temple in honor of All Saints and the Trostenets memorial complex.

      The trip to Belarus gave our students the opportunity to improve their professional skills, make new friends and meet colleagues from the Cardiology Olympiad in St. Petersburg.
