A graduate of Kirov State Medical University, Islam Md Ariful, passed the competitive selection process and took part in the II Forum "Russia and the World: Trends in Healthy Longevity," which was held in Moscow on 9-10 July.
The event, organised by the Office of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation, brought together over 20 expert discussions on the development of preventive medicine, aging mechanisms, and improving quality of life. The forum gathered representatives of science, education, and governance: its work was attended by rectors of 9 medical universities in Russia, which underscores the high status of the platform and its significance for the professional community. The key sessions were moderated by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, ministers of health, science, culture, and heads of relevant departments. One of the discussion moderators was People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Mashkov.
For Ariful, participation in the forum was not only a professional event but also a personal achievement. He shares his impressions:
"7 years ago, I arrived in Russia as a student with a dream. On July 9, 2026, I stood in the World Trade Center Moscow as the first Bangladeshi graduate of my university, invited by the Ministry of Health to witness the future of medicine and found myself breathing the same air as Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, and the world's leading doctors and professors , people who shape policy and science, yet who welcomed a young doctor from Bangladesh as one of their own, making me believe that in the world of healing, there are no borders, only shared purpose"
Participation in such a large-scale event confirms the high level of the graduate's training and his interest in current issues of medical science.
