From 11 to 18 September, Yekaterinburg hosted the International Youth Festival - a large-scale event that brought together 10,000 young leaders from 191 countries. A regional program served as a follow-up to this event. In the Kirov Region, the Ministry of Youth Policy of the region and the Regional Youth Center organised a series of activities for international guests. The main goals of the program were to introduce visitors to the culture, real life, and modern achievements of the Vyatka region, as well as to create a platform for international dialogue and joint projects.
To provide linguistic support for the delegation, Kirov State Medical University invited Ekaterina Khodyreva, a translator of the Office for Coordination of International Affairs. She actively assisted in organising the stay of the international festival participants in the region.
During the visit, Ekaterina provided consecutive interpretation for the delegates. The international guests, who had been granted expert status, visited local polling stations and took part in a meeting of the Public Observation Headquarters. The university's support in accompanying the guests contributed to the development of international cooperation and the strengthening of intercultural dialogue in the region.
