Students of Kirov State Medical University visited the Rehabilitation Center. The educational excursion was organised by N. S. Zavalin, a senior lecturer at the Department of Physics, Health Informatics, and Mathematics. The visitors learned about the key areas of the center's work, discovered modern methods of social adaptation for people with disabilities and were able to ask the specialists all their questions.
During the visit, foreign students toured the adaptive physical activity halls, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy rooms, creative and sewing workshops, as well as the daily living rehabilitation room. There, they were shown specialized exercise equipment and technical aids that help clients regain independent living skills. The students paid special attention to the "Respite" and supported living training units, examined the living quarters, and highly appreciated the comfortable environment created at the center. The visitors also noted the presence of a prayer room, highlighting the staff's respect for the spiritual needs of their clients.
K.A. Sumarokova, Director of the Rehabilitation Center, noted that such meetings are important both for visitors and for the center's staff. According to her, future doctors gain a valuable opportunity to see a comprehensive rehabilitation system from the inside and understand the importance of teamwork among different specialists, while the center itself is always happy to share its experience in creating conditions for a fulfilling life for people with disabilities. The organisers and students expressed their gratitude to psychologist and social rehabilitation specialist S.V. Maslennikova, who conducted this detailed tour in English.
