Last Sunday,  big sports and entertainment event was held in Alexander Garden. It took the form of an interactive station-based game known as "Russian Amusements." Foreign students from across the city took part in the competition, including the team of Kirov State Medical University. The event was organised by the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Kirov Region and the Regional Palace of Youth, teaming up with Kirov SMU, VyatSU and VyatSAU.

The young participants faced an obstacle course that cleverly mixed physical challenges with a bit of learning along the way. Each station introduced them to different aspects of Russian folklore, old-school folk games or everyday traditions. Even with the hot weather, the medical university team led by Elena Sharapova, head of the International Relations Office, showed amazing teamwork and powered through every stage with real enthusiasm.

The highlight of the day was creating a symbolic "friendship rug," which every participant helped decorate. This shared creative activity brought together students from different majors and backgrounds, perfectly capturing the spirit of interethnic unity. The competition was held as part of the youth policy development program "A Region for the Young," which supports the goals of the national project "Youth and Children."
