On 19 May 2026, 2nd-year foreign students of Kirov SMU actively participated in the section “Nutrition Ecology and Public Health” of the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Problems of Socio-Economic Development of Modern Society,” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Institute of Business of Belarusian State University and the 25th anniversary of the Department of Management and Commodity Science. In total, five student research papers were submitted for the competition. We are glad to cooperate with our partners, who help develop the scientific potential of students. The participation of international students in such events is an important part of academic mobility, allowing for the exchange of knowledge and experience.

      The students demonstrated high involvement in the scientific life of the Department of Hominal Physiology, the Department of Management and Commodity Science, as well as the Department of Physics, Health Informatics and Mathematics. They prepared colourful presentations and convincing reports, confidently asked and answered questions. The topics of the works surprised the audience with their diversity and relevance –  research on the prevalence of smoking among students, antioxidant activity of ascorbic acid, physiology of vision, and much more. The scientific supervisors of the student works – Irina Chastoedova, Elena Sizova, Eugenia Zhukova and Nikolay Zavalin – welcomed the students, thanked them for their participation and wished that their mentees continued their path in science. Especially since their first publication on this path is already scheduled for June 2026 in the conference proceedings and will be indexed in RSCI.
