From 20 to 22 March, the 3rd stage of the 11th Sports Festival of Students of Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities of Russia with international participation, titled "Physical Culture and Sport – the Second Profession of a Doctor," took place in Izhevsk. The team of Kirov State Medical University worthily represented the university in two sports disciplines, futsal and darts.

The first day of the festival brought the athletes of Kirov State Medical University a significant result in the team competition of the dart game "Big Round," with the team taking fourth place. The team included Marianna Arakhova, a second-year resident neonatologist, Andrey Bogachev from group L‑510, Kirill Gorbachev from group S‑493, and Anna Solovyova from group P‑338.

On the second day of the competition, the participants demonstrated individual achievements in the discipline called "501." Marianna Arakhova won a gold medal among women, while Andrey Bogachev took an honorable third place in the men's category.

The men's futsal team of Kirov SMU also showed good results. The team confidently led its subgroup and then advanced to the semifinals. According to the final results of the tournament, Kirov athletes took 4th place, which is a worthy result at a high-level competition.
