Dr. Shrikant Verma, a renowned expert in medical education, leads a series of intensive workshops.
On 2-10 January, a series of educational meetings was held at the university, featuring a distinguished guest speaker: the renowned Indian medical professor, Dr. Shrikant Verma. Dr. Verma is the author of the seminal textbook "Clinical Anatomy: A Problem-Solving Approach," translated into 12 languages, the developer of a patented minimally invasive surgical technique, and a recipient of the prestigious "Outstanding Contribution to Medical Education" award.
During his visit, Dr. Verma presented an original methodology for an intensive express course designed to prepare students for certification exams. Drawing on his extensive personal experience from surgical practice and teaching in leading Indian medical colleges, he introduced attendees to interactive models for teaching anatomy. This innovative approach provides a deep understanding of the human body's structure, facilitates the visual assimilation of complex concepts, and makes the learning process dynamic and engaging.
The university's Rector, L.M. Zheleznov, who attended the sessions, highly appreciated the effectiveness of the presented format and expressed hope for the continuation of this fruitful cooperation. This visit marks a significant step in strengthening international academic ties and enhancing the educational experience at Kirov SMU.
