A Warm Welcome and a Roadmap to Success

To help first-year students begin their university journey with confidence, the Faculty of Foreign Students recently held a special introductory seminar, organized by the faculty's Student Council.

This welcoming event was carefully designed to transform the initial anxiety of newcomers into clarity and excitement. The seminar served as an essential guide, focusing on three key areas: understanding academic rules and expectations, learning practical study strategies from experienced students, and building connections within the university community.

The vice-dean of the faculty Elena Shushkanova provided crucial insights, emphasising the importance of discipline, time management, and engaging with the scientific life of the university. Detailed explanations were given on grading systems, deadlines, class attendance, and how to navigate the university’s digital learning platforms.

The most relatable advice came from senior students, who shared their personal tips on effective note-taking, balancing studies with extracurricular activities, and building positive relationships with teachers.

The seminar concluded with an open Q&A session, allowing every question to be met with a supportive and comprehensive answer. Noting the high engagement and positive impact, the organizers plan to make these informative gatherings a regular tradition.

The faculty's Student Council extends its gratitude to all speakers and participants and wishes the incoming class a bright and successful academic journey ahead.
