In early December, the historic city of Samarkand became a global stage for medical excellence. Over 500 future doctors from more than 60 universities gathered for the International Student Olympiad, creating a vibrant forum for competition and the exchange of knowledge between peers and professors from across the globe.

Representing Kirov State Medical University was a talented team of dental students. Guided by Associate Professor S.N. Gromova and senior teacher M.S. Medvedeva, they arrived ready to prove their skill.

Their preparation and dedication shone brilliantly, resulting in a spectacular sweep across all competition categories. The team proudly earned a first-place victory in Pediatric Dentistry, secured two second-place prizes in Therapeutic and Surgical Dentistry, and claimed a third-place honour in Orthopedic Dentistry.

Beyond the contest, the event encouraged meaningful connection. The accompanying professors from Kirov State Medical University shared their expertise through special lectures for students and residents in Samarkand, contributing to the vital cross-cultural dialogue that defines academic mobility.
