Tendencies and Perspectives of Educational Export

On 30 and 31 October, Tyumen State Medical University became a hub for a vital global conversation. It hosted the first international forum, "ROSMEDOBR – Ural 2025," a key part of a major conference on the future of medical education. This prestigious gathering brought together leading Russian experts and specialists from China, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan to shape the path forward.

A significant voice at this dialogue was that of Elena Sharapova, Head of the Department of International Relations at Kirov State Medical University. At the symposium "Exporting medical education. Trends and development prospects," she shared firsthand insights and successful strategies for training medical professionals for the global stage and promoting high Russian educational standards worldwide.

Her experience is built on a powerful foundation. In recent years, Kirov State Medical University has seen remarkable growth, now welcoming about 800 students from 37 different countries. A testament to its global standing is the international accreditation of three of its core programs by the World Federation of Medical Education, affirming that its teaching meets the highest world standards - a benefit that elevates education for both its international and Russian students.

This forum underscored a shared mission: not just to educate doctors, but to build lasting international bridges through excellence in medicine.
