Chuvash State University recently celebrated the 85th birthday of the distinguished scientist, professor L.M. Merkulova. As part of the anniversary celebrations, the VIII All-Russian Student Anatomy Olympiad was held.

A delegation from Kirov State Medical University attended the event. Kirov was represented by the team "Medmates," which had prepared intensely under the guidance of department head O.V. Reztsov and professor S.D.Andreeva. This year was special because the Kirov team included both Russian and international students.

The teams competed in three rounds: a theory test, an anatomical quest, and a quiz. In a tough competition against experienced teams from Samara, Ulyanovsk, and Yoskar Ola, our "Medmates" won second place overall. They also took the first place in the "Anatomical Quest" category.

The successful performance of our students was commended by the Rector of Kirov State Medical University, Professor L.M. Zheleznov. This Olympiad was a bright start to the Anatomy Week at our university, highlighting the excellent training of future doctors.
