30 June, 2025 became a landmark date as Kirov State Medical University celebrated its first graduation of international students who completed the General Medicine program taught in foreign languages. This milestone event holds special significance not only for the graduates themselves but also for the University, reaffirming its commitment to high educational standards.
A particular focus was placed on the students' successful completion of the State Final Certification. The comprehensive examination consisted of three stages: assessment testing, evaluation of practical skills, and a final interview. The graduates demonstrated excellent mastery of the educational program along with well-developed cultural, general professional, and specialized competencies meeting the "General Practitioner" professional standard.
The graduating class included outstanding students from Egypt, Pakistan, Ghana, Botswana, Iraq, Yemen, Thailand, Haiti, Guatemala, and Uganda who excelled academically and actively participated in university life. Many are already planning to continue their education in residency programs or begin medical practice in Russia.
In her address, Dean of the International Students Faculty Irina Gennadievna Suetina remarked: "We take great pride in our graduates who have not only mastered the curriculum but also successfully passed the State Certification. This achievement reflects their hard work and dedication to learning."
