On 1 March, a unique festival of Indian culture "Friendship-Dosti" took place in the historical building of Kirov Regional Library named after Alexander Herzen. The event brought together about 200 guests, including students, teachers and lovers of Indian culture.
The official part of the event was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Work Evgeny Nikolaevich Kasatkin, as well as Head of the Department of International Relations Elena Vladimirovna Sharapova. They stressed the importance of cultural exchanges between Russia and India and expressed gratitude to all participants for their active participation.
The creative program of the festival was maintained by students of our university, who demonstrated their versatile talents in various styles of Indian dance. Their performances covered a wide range of genres, including Garba, Bollywood, comedy Bollywood, Lavani and Punjabi, which vividly reflected their ability to master and interpret a variety of dance styles. The audience also enjoyed Bollywood-style songs and traditional glorifying songs, which created an unforgettable holiday atmosphere.
The Muskurati dance group also performed on stage, delighting the audience with their energetic and colorful performances.
Holding a festival of Indian culture on the eve of spring is becoming a good tradition in Kirov, symbolizing the arrival of new life and renewal. The organizers would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Herzen Library for providing a historical hall for the event, as well as to the Muskurati dance group for their creative cooperation and contribution to the cultural life of the city.
The Friendship-Dosti Festival has become a real celebration of friendship and unity, bringing together people of different nationalities and ages!
