On 7 and 12 January, employees of the Department of Microbiology and Virology, and office for the coordination of international affairs organised hikes to recreation areas of Kirov forest within the healthy lifestyle project.
Russian students and students from India, Egypt, Pakistan, and Bangladesh participated in the winter hike. The children sang campfire songs in different languages, listened to the harp melody, performed national dances, cooked food on the campfire, played snowballs and made snowmen.
Apart from having fun, students participated in a training on survival in extreme conditions. Under the guidance of teacher Alexey Yurlov, students learned how to knit climbing knots.
The fresh forest air, communication with groupmates in Russian and English strengthened the friendship of students from different countries. The atmosphere of unity and reconnection with nature has captivated everyone!
