On 3rd and 5th of December, the head of the Visa and Registration Support Department, I. V. Pestova, held traditional meetings with students of the 2-6 courses of the Faculty of Foreign Students. The events were attended by E.N. Dudenkova, a leading expert of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kirov region.

      During the meetings, issues of compliance with migration legislation, as well as rules of conduct at the university and public places were discussed.

      Irina Vitalievna stressed that the duties of foreign students include independently tracking the deadlines for submitting documents for visa extension; passing a mandatory annual medical examination; updating registration in case of a change of place of temporary stay (departure from Kirov for holidays or for tourist purposes), obtaining a new passport or upon completion of hospitalisation in a medical institution. Students were also reminded of the obligation to have a valid compulsory health insurance.

      Such meetings are held at the University regularly. They help to raise the awareness of international students about the current legislation of the Russian Federation, and also help children to adapt more easily to new conditions.
