On 21st of December, Kirov State Medical University hosted a bright and memorable initiation ceremony for first-year students of the faculty of foreign students. The event, organised by the Office for the Coordination of International Activities, the Dean's Ofice of the Faculty of Foreign Students and the Students` Council of the Faculty of Foreign Students and the International Student Club, became a real celebration for students.

 

 

The purpose of the ceremony is not only to familiarise international students with university traditions, but also to promote their integration into Russian society, to form an active lifestyle and to realise the importance of their chosen profession.

 

In the official part of the ceremony, acting rector L. M. Zheleznov addressed the first-year students with a welcoming speech and congratulated them on the beginning of a new stage in their lives, wished them success in their studies and expressed that the years spent at the university would be unforgettable for them.

 

In her speech, the head of the Department of International Relations, E.V. Sharapova, stressed the importance of long-term cooperation between Russia and India in the field of higher education and wished students to become highly qualified specialists.
Of particular interest was the informal part of the ceremony, where first-year students were teamed up to complete a series of tests symbolizing various aspects of student life. The guys overcame obstacles with great enthusiasm, demonstrating unity and team spirit. 

 

 

 

 

 

At the end of the Initiation, the dean of the Faculty of International Students, I. G. Suetina, congratulated the students and handed them booklets with information about the main aspects of life and study in our city. There was a warm atmosphere and a lot of positive emotions at the ceremony, and the first-year students were warmly welcomed into the large and friendly university community. Kirov State Medical University congratulates all first-year students of the Faculty of Foreign Studies and wishes them success in their studies and scientific activities!
