On 20 th November, foreign students took part in the first practical lesson of the oratory and debate club. E.A. Khodyreva, translator of the Office for Coordination of International Affairs and organiser of the club, shared her thoughts on the importance of oratory for doctors. She stressed that the ability to express one's thoughts clearly and convincingly is an integral part of a doctor's professional activity.
After the theoretical part, the participants started practical exercises. To warm up, they mastered reading tongue twisters in English and Russian, which helped to tune in to the working mood and develop diction. Then, moving on to more difficult tasks, the participants trained persuasion and improvisation skills in various situations.
The next meeting of the club is scheduled for middle December. Stay tuned in our VKontakte group so that you don't miss new interesting topics and exercises.

*Developing critical thinking and argumentation skills: we learn to build logical and convincing arguments, defend our point of view and effectively interact with the interlocutor.
*Co-education: we learn from each other, share our experiences and are inspired by the successes of our colleagues.
