On 12th of November, Kirov State Medical University hosted a traditional meeting for international students who arrived from India to study. During the meeting, the future doctors received detailed information about the rules of life and studies in Russia, the norms of behaviour, as well as safety measures. Special attention was paid to the issues of compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and anti-terrorist protection. Such meetings help international students to adapt to a new sociocultural space.

      The export of education is one of the priorities of our state's policy. The Russian medical school has traditionally enjoyed high prestige in the world, and interest in it from international students is steadily growing. In recent years, the university has seen an increase in the number of students from India. The importance of educational ties between our countries was noted at the highest level, including at talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Kremlin in the summer of 2024. President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin stressed that Russia and India have a very long-standing friendship and good relations. Today, these relations have the character of a particularly privileged strategic partnership.
