The Eurasian Economic Youth Forum was held in Yekaterinburg from April 22 to 24. The purpose of the Forum is to provide a launching platform for the career and personal growth of young people in science, project activities, entrepreneurship and the development of creative potential.
More than 17,000 students from 114 countries took part in the Forum, including students and schoolchildren, young scientists, diplomatic representatives, rectors and vice-rectors of leading universities in Russia and the CIS countries. The program includes round tables, lectures, meetings, workshops and festivals.
Students of our University Bakri Ahmed (General Medicine, 5th year) and Fares Mahmoud (Faculty of Foreign Students, 5th year) took part in the Forum as members of the Association of Foreign Students (AIS). Their days at the Forum are intense and exciting. So, as part of the program of events, they attended a plenary meeting, a panel session "Dialogues on equal terms", a festival of cultures, where official speeches were replaced by incendiary dances and bright performances from around the world. Our students attended a meeting of representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Russian Federation and student youth, the agenda of which is "Russia is a country of opportunities for foreign youth." Our students get acquainted with the participants of the Forum, developed networking skills and gained social opportunities.
On April 25, AIS met with representatives of international students from Yekaterinburg, took part in a round table with the head of the Association Shaabo Issa, actively participated in educational events.
We express our gratitude to the Association of International Students and the organisers of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum for giving our students the opportunity to visit the Forum and Yekaterinburg!
