  In 2002, the department was awarded the Diploma of the winner in the competition for educational and methodological work of the Kirov State Medical University. Working programs and teaching materials for lectures, seminars, practical classes, individual work have been developed and approved for all academic disciplines taught at the department.
Since 2010, due to the large number of students studying at the department, the clinical base has expanded. The main location of the department is the KGBUZ OKPD, also practical training of students of all types takes place on the basis of the CHUZ "Clinical Hospital "RZD-medicine" of Kirov" the performance of dissertation research by graduate students of the department is carried out on the basis of the clinic of the Kirov State Medical University. This makes it possible to bring the educational process as close as possible to solving clinical problems facing future practitioners and healthcare organizers. Medical clinical conferences with the analysis of patients, clinical and pathoanatomical conferences with the analysis of complex diagnostic clinical cases, including those with fatal outcomes, are regularly held.
