The staff of the department of Humanities and Social Sciences provides teaching of 10 disciplines of the social and humanitarian cycle and 3 disciplines in the intermediary language.
The department is actively developing educational and teaching guides, which are the winners of the contests "The Best humanitarian book of the Volga Federal Region", "The All-Russian competition of scientific and practical works "Vocation" and others.
     In 2010, 2012, 2021, the department took first place in the competition in the University day "The best department for educational and methodological work of Kirov State Medical University of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation".
