The main goal of training at the department is the formation of students' competencies in choosing and prescribing pharmacological therapy, as well as the prevention of self-medication and the use of medicines with other non-therapeutic purposes.
Modern educational technologies, interactive and simulation (simulation) forms and methods of teaching are widely used at the department. Intermediate certification is carried out in three stages: testing, verification of practical skills, interview on control issues and solving situational tasks.
Four classrooms with plasma panels and Internet access are used for conducting classes. There is a museum of dosage forms and a large number (over 20 on each topic) of presentations on general, private and clinical pharmacology for didactic purposes.
