Educational and methodological activities of the department include the training of 4th-year students of the specialty 31.05.01 General Medicine, 4th-year students of the specialty 31.05.01 General Medicine (in the intermediary language) and 3-4-year students of the specialty 31.05.02 Pediatrics in the discipline "Faculty Surgery, Urology", training of resident doctors in clinical residency in the specialty 31.08.68 Urology. The educational process is fully provided with a training complex for all sections of the disciplines studied, developed by the staff of the department.  It provides for the curation of patients and the writing of an academic medical history. Professors and associate professors of the department give lectures in the classrooms of Kirov State Medical University in full-time format and using the information and educational environment of the University. Great importance is also given to the individual work of students, since the ability to think, compare, and draw conclusions helps a lot when making a correct diagnosis. At the end of the study of disciplines, intermediate certification is carried out in the form of tests and exams.
