On 15th of May, the Department of Biology under coordination of the head of the department Elena Koledaeva organised the student scientific and practical conference "Genetics of hereditary metabolic diseases". Dean of the Foreign Faculty Irina Suetina and senior teacher of the Department of Biology Yulia Onuchina addressed the participants of the event with welcoming words.

      Second-year students of the Faculty of Foreign Students prepared reports about the issues of etiology, clinical picture of diagnosis and treatment of various hereditary metabolic diseases. The researchtopic of the stages of embryogenesis and the mechanisms of their genetic regulation caused an active discussion.

      The authors of the best reports were awarded diplomas:

• Diploma of the first degree — Mahmoud Arian (group 203-i), report "Methods of diagnosis of hereditary metabolic diseases".

• Diploma of the II degree  —  Eldho Alina (grpup 205-i), report "Features of the clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of familial hypercholesterolemia";

                                          —  Ali Muhammad Asim (group 203-i), report "Features of the clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of methylmalonic acedemia".

• Diploma of the III degree — Matr Nurkhan Eslam Hassanin Hegazi (group 201-i), report "Features of the clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of Wilson-Konovalov disease";

                                           — Salim Maryam Adel Mohammadi Al-Sayed (group 203-i), report "Features of the clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of tyrosinemia".
