The Department of General Surgery provides students with general knowledge in the discipline. At our department, students learn kindness, mercy and unselfish attitude to the sick. A complete set of educational and methodological documentation and slide lectures on general surgery and surgical diseases has been prepared.
When teaching, various methods of individual work are used under the guidance and supervision of a teacher:
Individual work in pairs.
Working with phantoms.
Individual work of students is one of the most important components of the educational process, because deep, solid knowledge, skills and stable skills can be acquired by students only as a result of individual mental activity. Performing individual work by students ensures further assimilation of cognitive activity techniques, interest in creative work and, ultimately, the ability to solve tasks. The teachers of the department are highly qualified certified surgeons with medical categories. They actively participate in consultations, curation and surgical treatment of patients in the basic medical institution. Medical histories and deaths are reviewed.
Educational and methodical works:
In different years, the teachers of the department have defended six dissertations, received five patents for inventions. All employees of the department are certified and are highly qualified surgeons who perform a large amount of specialised surgical care in basic medical institutions, advise the population of the city and the region in difficult clinical situations.
The teachers of the department have published more than 350 scientific and methodological works, 5 monographs, more than 20 textbooks.
