Educational Collaboration: A Recap of the Russia-India Educational Summit

      The recent Russia-India Educational Summit, held from April 11th to 13th in New Delhi, India, became the largest educational event in the history of relations between the two countries and marked a significant step forward in strengthening educational ties. This three-day event served as a platform for educators and students to exchange best practices, explore new avenues for collaboration, and expand existing cooperation programs in the field of education.

      The organisers of the Summit included Rossotrudnichestvo, the Russian House in New Delhi, and the Center for International Education (Russia). The event is supported by the Russian Embassy in India.

      The summit provided a comprehensive program featuring a series of conferences, roundtable discussions, and panel sessions. Representatives from prominent Russian and Indian universities actively engaged in discussions, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences. Additionally, a dedicated exhibition space showcased the offerings of over 60 Russian universities, attracting a large number of Indian schoolchildren and students.

      At the exhibition, Indian students had the opportunity to dive deeper into the world of Russian higher education. University representatives provided them with valuable insights into admission procedures, available programs, and future career prospects upon graduation. Notably, a strong interest emerged among Indian youth for fields like medicine, engineering, aviation, management, and even advanced studies in aerospace and nuclear sciences.

      The summit witnessed the participation of high-level authorities, including Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation D. E. Gribov, Deputy Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation T. V. Semenov, and Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo P.A. Shevtsov. Their presence underscored the importance placed by both Russia and India on providing stronger educational partnerships.

      Kirov State Medical University actively participated in the summit, represented by the head of the Department of International Relations Elena Vladimirovna Sharapova and the head of the Office for Coordination of International Affairs Janette Nikolaevna Ovsyannikova. Throughout the three days, they engaged in numerous meetings and negotiations promoting the university's offerings and expertise within the international educational market.

      This successful summit paves the way for a brighter future filled with increased collaboration and exchange in the realm of education between Russia and India.
