First Russian-Chinese Festival of University Science

On 19-20 November 2015 the first Russian-Chinese festival of university science took place in Kuban State Medical University. The scientific and practical conference was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the council of rectors of medical and pharmaceutical universities of Russia and Russian-Chinese association of medical universities.

The organizing committee consisted of the rector of Kuban State Medical University, S.N. Alekseenko, the director of the scientific and research center of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, V.N. Nikolenko, the vice rector for scientific and research work of Kuban State Medical University, A.N. Redko.

The representatives of the Chinese delegation told about their work in low-dose chemotherapy, risk reduction of development of type 2 diabetes with the help of vitamin C, the role of micro RNA-26 during idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and about technologies for treating oncological diseases.

Novopashina Yulia Andreevna, postgraduate student at the Department of Microbiology and Virology, represented Kirov State Medical Academy at the festival, becoming one of the winners. In her report “Peculiarities of biological properties of yeasts vegetating on mucosa of female reproductive system during pregnancy”, she told about methods of detection and identification of candidiasis germs and complexity of treating such diseases due to low sensitivity of yeasts to a large specter of antimycotics.

On 26 November, the third scientific and practical conference for young scientists with international participation “Youth and Medical Science” took place in Tver State Medical Academy. There Novopashina Yulia Andreevna took the 3^rd place with report “Peculiarities of biological properties of microorganisms in association with nanoparticles of workers occupied in tire production”.

Moreover, Novopashina Yulia Andreevna presented her report “Studying the peculiarities of yeasts, vegetating in gastrointestinal tract in case of gastrointestinal pathology” at the sixth international youth congress “St. Petersburg scientific readings – 2015” which took place in Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University from 2 ‘till 4 December.
