In the period from 15th to 19th of April, Svetlana Nikolaevna Gromova, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, head of the Department of Dentistry of the Kirov State Medical University of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, visited the Belarusian State Medical University as part of the academic mobility program.

      Svetlana Nikolaevna met with the Rector of BSMU, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergei Petrovich Rubnikovich and Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Pavel Viktorovich Markautsan. The parties discussed prospects for further cooperation between universities and faculties and trends in dental education.

 

     

      Svetlana Nikolaevna also visited the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, where she told students and the academic staff about Kirov State Medical University, the specifics of the scientific laboratory "Kariesology" and research in the field of prevention of dental diseases. In addition, Svetlana Nikolaevna conducted practical classes and lectures for second year students on the prevention of dental diseases and individual oral hygiene products. She highlighted the composition of modern toothpastes, their importance for oral health, and also presented the results of research on hygiene products conducted in the laboratory of our university. 

 

 

      During Svetlana Nikolaevna's visit, the Republican Center for Professional Certification and Simulation Training of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers conducted a tour around, where she watched interns practice practical skills. 

 

 

      In the end of the visit, Svetlana Nikolaevna participated in the work of the jury of the International Olympiad of Student Skills in Pediatric Dentistry. She noted particularly distinguished students with memorable souvenirs.

      Svetlana Nikolaevna Gromova's trip became a significant event that will contribute to strengthening ties between the Kirov State Medical University and the Belarusian State Medical University!
